Terms of Service

By creating an MA account you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use MA.

MA (Machine Assistant) is a proactive maintenance tracking and recommendation tool. MA is not a licensed engineer, inspector, contractor, warranty provider, repair service, or safety authority. MA cannot predict, prevent, or be held responsible for equipment failures, property damage, personal injury, or death.

MA is not responsible for:

• Equipment failures, property damage, or personal injury
• Failures in systems connected to tracked assets (water lines, electrical connections, structural components)
• Unforeseen events including power surges, floods, or acts of God
• Prior damage, undisclosed history, or pre-existing conditions
• Decisions made based on MA's recommendations

Always consult a licensed professional for safety-critical decisions.

MA does not provide tracking or recommendations for FDA-regulated medical devices. This restriction is unconditional and permanent.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• Annual Year 1: first month free (11 months billed) — one time only
• Annual rates locked for full 12 months
• Price increases capped at 10% per year, applied at renewal only
• 30 days notice provided before any price change
• Payment processed by Stripe

• Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing
• No refunds for partial months on monthly plans
• Annual plans: no mid-year refunds
• Data preserved for 90 days after cancellation
• After 90 days: all personal data permanently deleted

• Each plan has a hard asset limit — no grace assets
• Exceeding your limit requires upgrading your plan
• The word UNLIMITED is never used — all plans have limits

• Minimum asset value: $300
• MA only tracks assets with a professional service ecosystem
• MA reserves the right to decline assets that do not meet eligibility criteria
• Window AC units and basic failure-based appliances are not eligible

• Referral credit issued after referred friend completes 3 consecutive months of paid subscription
• No cash value — credit applied to billing only
• MA reserves the right to modify or discontinue the referral program

• Your personal data belongs to you
• Anonymous Asset Library data contributed to MA's shared library is owned by MA LLC
• MA's algorithms, weighting formulas, and Asset Library constitute proprietary intellectual property of MA LLC
• You may not reverse engineer, copy, or attempt to replicate MA's systems

You agree not to:

• Provide false asset or account information
• Use MA for commercial purposes on a personal plan
• Attempt to circumvent plan limits
• Use MA's data or recommendations for resale

MA may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice except in cases of fraud or legal requirement.

MA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. MA does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will be accurate in all cases.

MA's total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of $200 or the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kenton County, Kentucky.

MA will provide 30 days notice before material changes. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
